VHPARSER

Introduction

VHParser is a utility program which extracts the .vhi file Information Object Block (IOB) data. This tool provides the functionality to create individual working files containing the text block, and image bitmaps embedded within AnatLine records. Extracted IOB data generate ASCII text files, and binary image bitmap files. In addition, an ASCII information file is provide with the x, y, z coordinate data for volume bitmaps.

VHParser works with each of the .vhi file types available from the AnatLine Database.

Software and System Requirements

Systems not meeting the recommended system configurations may experience performance problems. VhParser requires JDK 1.2 (or higher).

System Environment Settings

The user's workstation system environment must have the following setting:

VHPARSER = directory/Vhparser

Operations

VHParser extracts high resolution image blocks, thereby duplicating information in the downloaded file. VHParser can uncompress segmented bytemask images that may exceed the total size of the downloaded file. Extra caution must be observed to provide sufficient disk storage space. VHParser requires access to user workstation utility uncompress software. The parser can access Unix uncompress via the environment path, and can access NT platform uncompress (such as MKS toolkit) if in the environment path.

Resulting Files

VHParser generates output files based on the processed .vhi file.

ByteMask.vhi
