AnatLine Anatomical Database files are in VHI file format. The VHI format supports the storage and delivery of multimedia database files from the Anatomical Database. VHI files contain anatomical formats for the four AnatLine image types: Cross Sections, Segmented Byte Masks, Volumes of Interest, and Rendered Images. Each file stores a complex format of data maps, data tables, and image bitmaps.

VHI files contain a File Specifier which is also the file name. The File Specifier is designed to support automated file management and image retrieval for client systems.

The above links provide detailed information for each image type format and provide File Specificier details.
